I work for a college campus in their IT department and we do wireless surveys and designs. We have a term called "WiFi on a Stick" where we bring an Access Point on a rolling stand to a building and use an ekahau sidekick paired with Ipad to measure the wireless coverage. we move around the building measuring different areas and we use this to get a good idea of the best location to have a new Access Point installed.
