ATEM Mini Audio Setup - ATEM Quick Tips

Here's a couple of quick tips on setting up audio with your ATEM Mini Pro or ATEM Mini Extreme. I've seen a lot of mistakes made in switching between line and mic audio settings so in this video we'll clear that up and show you how to adjust if needed.

Can anyone here clue me in on what type of cable I need to go from the sound board to the ATEM? I have used insert cables before (Dual 1/4" to 1/8" TRS) and even in the LINE setting, I still get a hum. The only way I have had success is running the signal backwards through an ART DUALZDirect 2-channel Passive Direct Box. It's not the right way to do this.

My sound board is an Allen & Heath CQ-18T. It has 1/4" bus outputs.

Anybody know how to control the bass? I was in church yesterday and they sung and the kids love their own bass and they really went deep. On church spearkers it sounds fine but on the stream the bass just cracks up and sounds like noise... How can I rectify this for the next time we have a singing group? I basically want an equaliser just like on a mixer

Hi... When we are connecting the mic input 1 to Audio DSP then create the hiss noise in Live streaming...Connection is balanced from Atem to Audio DSP... Kindly resolve this

Zephan, do you mind if I ask what you are using to mic yourself in this video? You sound amazing. I don't hear any ambient sound, and your tonal balance sounds perfect on everything I'm playing it through.

Audio from Mic 1 and 2 are not being included in the files opened when using iso. Also even though I have all mics (including cameras) set to off except mic 1 the main video loaded doesn't include the mic 1 audio but rather the camera audio.

Hey! Great video! I’ve managed to get audio in and I can see the levels, but I can’t hear any of it through a monitor or my laptop. I’m using a podtrak p4 line out into the mini pro iso.

Any idea why?

Hi Zephan! Thank you so much for sharing this video❤️‍🔥! Maybe you can help me, since I did the last update 8.10.1 I have a problem. When I record with the Atem Mini on SSD card, the audio sounds totally musty and unclean. Have made all the settings that I have always had. I’ve changed cables and everything but nothing happened. I did a downgrade too but it’s not working well…Can you maybe give me a tip? I would be very grateful for an answer! Greetings 🖖☺️

Hey! I have a atem mini extreme and I have distorted sound when I input from Zoom h5 recorder.
I checked the line/microphone options and its still getting a lot of white noise and distorted sound.

Hi Zephan, great video thanks. Can I please just ask. If your send audio through a camera, does the camera have to have a microphone? I have connected a PTZ camera into an SDI input, but not getting any sound from the camera. The PTZ camera does not have a built in microphone, but I have inserted a microphone into the audio in jack on back of the camera. Im not sure if I needed to insert the microphone as I thought the Atem on board sound will capture the sound from the camera, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you.
