We purchased Trek Rail EMTB (e-bikes) and quickly realized that off grid charging would be a challenge. VanPowers provided the solution with the Super Power Pro 2000. They offered to have us test and review their portable power station and we jumped on the opportunity!

Our goal was to recharge the e-bikes while traveling in our 2021 Toyota Tacoma. My Trek Rail has a 750WH battery and my wife’s Trek Rail has a 625WH battery. Combined battery capacity of 1,375WH. We decided to test the larger 2,096WH power station. We charged both bikes from 35% to 100% and only reduced the Super Power Pro 2000 by 50%. Perfect!

We then proceeded to test various high power devices including: portable space heater, heat gun, residential refrigerator and a 3/4HP Jet Pump. I couldn’t believe it powered the Jet Pump! This is a BIG motor with huge initial surge load (amp draw) to kick off. This power station is a functional “home power backup” in the case of power failure.

We tested recharging the Super Power Pro 2000 with residential power, generator, dc charger and built-in vehicle power inverter. I love the phone app with ability to decrease the AC input watt power level. This allowed our factory Tacoma 400W inverter to charge the power station. Awesome!
