I'm watching this video today because my husband has been done so wrong. I'm currently in hospital with him. We are from South Africa currently in the UAE. He broke both his bones in his arms. We got taken to private hospital just to find out he has no insurance, but on his work contract it states that he has insurance. My husband was told that it's his fault and if he doesn't move to a public hospital he will pay for the medical bill. They sent someone to fetch him, not even a ambulance, to transport him from the private hospital to the public hospital. With a broken arm.the accident happened Monday 9am.he sat for 2 days in a public hospital with no help or surgery and his hand started turning blue. I ran up and down trying to the company to do something but i got no help. I moved my husband to a private ward out of my own and he got immediate surgery. The company has still not reached out.

Being a lineman I’ve seen some bad injuries. My worse that I received was 3 fractured vertebrae in my neck that I documented as a pinch nerve. Didn’t know I broke my neck until two months later when the pain didn’t go away and had finally had my supervisor take me to the clinic. Then while on light duty and not one to watch other guys work while I just operated crane controls or do ground work which I wasn’t suppose to do either. I broke my foot in three places as well. My boss was pissed, but being an ex lineman himself was good about it.
That was 17 years ago. Been fighting workers comp. For the last five years when they ended my employment due to “personal” injuries. Says it right in the letter they sent me. This is even after the company insurance hired a lawyer to get me on SSDI. You’d think I’d have the most open and closed case in the world with all my documentation, dates, doctors reports, X-rays, MRI’s. But I’ve been fighting this for 5 years.

Do not trust HR do not trust the Safety department and do not trust management they are all interested in them selves and probably the company far more than they are concerned about your personal health and safety.
This channel has a lot of great content.

I got injured at work a lift hit me in the back of the head causing my neck to seize up. I filled the issue to company was sent to the company doctor "your fine you baby" now 4yrs later being a father I have difficulty playing with my kids just due to neck issues. But I was young and dumb and didn't pursue it because my wife was preggors and I was the main income for my soon family pretty much bullied by employer not to follow the issue.

When I was teaching part-time at my university in Halifax, Canada, I suffered a bus accident. I was standing up, talking to the students during a field trip when suddenly the bus stopped and I flew 2 metres into the dashboard. I lost consciousness for about 2 minutes and injured my right shoulder. I talked to a HR person who said that professors were not covered under WC. I didn’t have any proper treatment and after 5 years I still have pain in my shoulder.

I worked thru my injury, my coworkers are understanding and helped me. I was only off for my injury repair. But I did hire a lawyer because to complete my case was difficult on my own.

When I was at walmart, a guy was pulling a pallet of those 40lbs bags of salt out of the truck and the wheel on the palletjack ran over his foot. Walmart told him if he leaves to go to the hospital, that theyll fire him.. that was my first week at my first job.

Over a year ago I fell from a ladder and crushed my heel in my foot. The insurance company denied my needed surgery for 10 months. I finally had to appeal to the state and got their decision overturned and I got my surgery. I'm at home recovering and I just learned that my office has been cleared out in my absence. I'm really worried about the environment I will be returning to

So I lost 40% thumb, 60% index & 50% middle finger on my right hand. I’ve spoken to 2 layers and they told me I shouldn’t get a lawyer because of the new law stating once I get my inpaired rate I will get whatever the math equations is. I think I’m entitled to more than just that because my co worker took the safety guard off machine without informing me.

I got injured on the job Jan.3, 2023. Broke my clavicle by slip and falling foward and landed on my elbow. On Jan.12 I got a call from my employer. she gave a claim number. On Jan. 19, I got a call from an ESIS Claim Representative who said to go to a doctor who will fill out a form from ESIS injury report. I haven't heard from her since. What can I do?

Mr.Robertson there's a question, why companies should provide injured workers with light duties, let them go home instead???Unfortunate, you don't have license in my state 😢

I was injured on the job about two weeks ago and now on WC. In SC the WC laws are a bit different than what you have in California.

Worst injury I saw was a maintenance man having his legs crushed by 30 or so sheets of sheet metal that fell out of a machine.
