Once you've reached the point that you have severe damage to your hip joint due to arthritis of the spine your only good options is total hip replacement. Steroid injection, stem cell injection, physical therapy have all been tried. They don't work for severe arthritis. If you need a total hip replacement, then you really don't have any good alternatives.

Well how about all the people who went to Brandis in the 60s? Please Dr.( I am assuming you are a doctor) please read this book below and comment. I am considering THR but I have had very bad experiences with the medical treatments that have been prescribed in the past. I have cured my "uncurable" Uticaria and my "you just have to live with it" stomach pain (after a useless gallbladder removal) So I am biased for sure. I am not against the medical community. They like most of us are ignorant and in pain and see no options. But please read this book and please comment. "There is A Cure For Arthritis" By Paavo Airola
I dont think it is easy, and somel of these alternative treatments and expensive. But some are not. I am considering devoting a year to try and "cure" my hips....it cant hurt...perhaps I will record my progress, or lack of progress. There are so many things I can do...I am retired and have lots of free time. I am very torn on what to do. I just don't feel ready.
