sungwon, the regular munchkin is so fun. my favorite one is adventure time munchkin because there are a lot of mechanics that get tweaked and added mechanics. plus, i love the cartoon and the characters, but you don't have to be familiar w/ it to enjoy it. idk if they'll print that again tho. please play it if you get a chance—or the regular munchkin (deluxe with the board) is a really good intro to the series!

Check out the OG Munchkin games. The art is way better and more satirical. Combining decks from other versions of the game is also pretty cool if you want to spice it up. One of my favorite games to play in groups

I dove a bit more into this game to give it a fair shake, and yeah, it's a fine game but nothing special. It's not going to stick around for long. They did try some interesting ideas with it though.

Hey ProZD, I love munchkin and I love that you did this video! You made a tweet asking for board games that you couldn't stop buying expansions for and one I HAVE to recommend is a game called Dropmix! It's an OUTSTANDING piece of technology that is ESSENTIAL if you enjoy board games in my opinion! They do the thing where they don't put the words on the cards but you HAVE GOT to try it! Season Two starts very soon and I can't get enough of Dropmix!

Would it be better if it was a deck building all-in-one-box game rather than a crummy TCG?

The gameplay seems fun, but I don't know about the graphic design. This looks like something from the 90s. I like my cardboard to be pretty.

I played a different version, we didnt have gold but the rules were pretty much the same, the cards looked different though

Munchkin - love it or hate it. I'd be totally in the hate it camp, but it brings in so much money that all the retro games I want get reprinted ($2.95 for Ogre Pocket Edition a couple years back was awesome).

I almost wish they had sent you Triplanetary, but I don't know if you would have bothered reviewing that or if you would have gotten 2 views on that video (you'd have gotten one from me). I haven't busted the shrink wrap on that one yet - too many other games delivered all at once (Endeavor: Age of Sail, Brass: Lancashire, Brass: Birmingham, and a few other titles), and I've been knee deep in playing through Eldritch Horror again. I'd say I'll get to it soon, by my GMT COIN series titles are on their way and those will eat up my time again.

Anyway, thanks for doing board game reviews. Awesome to see, even if you aren't diving into 'Heavy Cardboard' level of games (yet).

Having actively played Munchkin for years, I can honestly say I have no interest in the CCG whatsoever. I already got CCGs out of my system with Magic, and I haven't played one in probably 10 years.

It's a bit like the joke blocks in MTG (Unglued, Unhinged, and UnsTable) but without the luxury of having years of history to riff off of, ans make fun of (other than the previous Munchkin games).

I think MTG kind of ruined other TCG's for a lot of us because they commission some seriously cool art for their sets.
