Blow-molding process by COMEP

Показать описание
With its worldwide proven experience in the PET industry for more than 15 years
COMEP is always seeking to improve the blow-molding process by rethinking the mold itself.
The SUPER VENTED MOLD® technology, is the next logical step after launching the LOW PRESSURE BASE® technology.
This represents now a revolution in the PET world with a strong environmental impact.
After several months of research, after many tests, Thanks to its real knowledge and technicity, The COMEP Team was able to develop this incredible innovation and to apply its
Low Pressure Technology patent.
How does it work ?
The venting optimization system allows a faster exhaust of the air between the preform and the molding cavity with a lower blowing pressure
Several venting lines are machined into the molding surface.
This requires further study for each type of bottle.
The benefits
Combined with the Low Pressure Base® technology, decrease of the blowing pressure down to less than 20 bars
Very important energy savings
No alteration of the technical specifications and bottle shape
More flexible process settings giving additional process degrees
Highly recommendable for high speed machines : the contact between the hot PET and the molding surface occurs faster, allowing a more rapid cooling of the bottle
Higher mechanical resistance
Significant reduction of stress cracking for Petaloïd bottoms
Performance & results
A major bottler has generalized the Low Pressure Base® technology on all its French facilities (producing still water bottles and CSD bottles from 0.3 L to 5.0 L).
The operating blowing pressure remains within a range from 20 to 22 bars, for both flat and Petaloïd bottoms
Since the end of 2013, the same Company is operating a complete factory (two blowing machines producing a 0.5 L still water bottle (10.2 g) and a 1.5 L still water bottle (21.4 g)
with the Super Vented Mold® technology : the nominal blowing pressure is less than 15 bars
