How to Flash a Custom ROM on the Samsung Galaxy Gear

Requirements:

-Micro USB cable
-Galaxy Gear and case
-Galaxy Gear compatible device

Tutorial:
Stock ROM load
1. Put the watch into Download Mode.
2. To do this, hold the power button until the "Rebooting" menu appears.
3. Now, press the power button several times (4 or more)
4. A new menu appears, use the power button to move down to "Download"
5. Hold the power button for 3 seconds, then release it
6. Download mode will appear
7. Connect the USB to your PC, then the cradle, then add the watch to the cradle
8. Open Odin
9. Leave everything as normal, and click on "AP"
10. Select the V700XXUAMK7 file/image
11. Run the process

Recovery ROM
1. Put the watch into Download Mode.
2. To do this, hold the power button until the "Rebooting" menu appears.
3. Now, press the power button several times (4 or more)
4. A new menu appears, use the power button to move down to "Download"
5. Hold the power button for 3 seconds, then release it
6. Download mode will appear
7. Connect the USB to your PC, then the cradle, then add the watch to the cradle
8. Open Odin
9. UNCLICK the option 'Auto Reboot' on the options tab
10. Select the NULL TWRP file/image
11. After its done, reboot by holding the power button and press several times to boot into RECOVERY

Root
1. Connect Device to Galaxy Wear compatible device.
2. Go to 'Settings', then 'Gear Info' and tap 'Software Version' 10 times.
3. Go back and enable 'USB Debugging' in the Galaxy Gear.
4. Connect the Galaxy Gear via the micro USB cable to the computer.
5. Download 'SuperSu' .zip and save it somewhere known.
6. Install Wondershare
7. Go to Wondershare and transfer the SuperSU.zip file to the SD card
8. On the device, go to the TWRP recovery and go to INSTALL
9. Select the SuperSU.zip file and install it
10. DONE!!!!

CREATE A BACKUP IN TWRP RECOVERY

NULL ROM
1. Move the ROM .zip to the sd card with Wondershare
2. Go to TWRP and press INSTALL
3. INSTALL it

Yes, it works. You have to be patient and to follow the exactly Steps in the video. I bought a used smartWatch galaxy gear sm-v700 and i thought that i can''t use it in these days, but it works.
I cant use the notification because it doesnt show me, but the rest of it is WoW. Congrats for the work.

I have 2 of these watch one i have already install it long time ago but when i try the other today always fails to install superSU, so what i did, i boot into recovery in my first Gear made i complete backup save to my pc, in my other gear flash TWRP made a simple backup only to creat a folder and later delet all the files inside this folder . Still in RECOVERY mode connect to PC opem WEB ADB conect to watch and coped my complete backup from other watch (GEAR) into the other one, after that just restored in TWRP and BOOM ! ! It works perfect even my watch face is there from the other Gear !

Thanks for this, recently pulled out my old watch and I still love it. Sad its support was short lived. I have followed all the steps for downloading what's needed. I am at the point where I have opened Odin and my device is not showing as recognized. Any tips?

Hi! What about notifications? Works ok? Because in my case, I've a stock ROM in my gear and I can't see the preview message for whats app for example. I've been connected with my S8+. Do you have that problem? Thanks

Guys I need help...I have tried to flash custom rom on my gear2 then it got stuck while installing via Odin then now the only thing I see is the screen that shows that I need to install os but problem is that pc doesn't recognize it anymore...when I plug it says the device has malfunctioned.. what can I do pls help
