How To Test Your Water Quality With Water Test Strips

This is a quick video to show you how to easily test your water quality with Med Lab Diagnostics water test strips. These particular strips have 16 different contaminants or parameters that you can test for. Use for any water source. There's an EPA Recommend Max Limits Chart for contaminants included in the guide that comes with the box of strips. You can compare the results you get for your water against the EPA recommended limits.

I wish they make test strips more geared towards drinking water. instead of swiming pool and spa.. i was looking for the other heavy metals arsenic manganese etc but instead see cyuniric acid which is what people put in their swimming pools..

I found that my strip shows that my pool is high in cyanic acid? what do i need to do to fix that? Also the PH was red ?

How does one coordinate the numbers above each color square on the test strip with the numbers below each item being tested? For example, one of the items being tested in the video was water Hardness. Below the word "Hardness" on the list to the left of the color blocks, it says "60S." The person doing the test got on her test a water Hardness of about 25. Is one supposed to do some kind of mathematical calculation using the two numbers to figure out how many grains per gallon there are? I'm trying to figure out what level of water softener I need. Thank you.

Can you check if these tests actually work? Especially lead, mercury, copper. Measuring pH, hardness is simple, most strips work fine. Measuring metals is complicated.

Need a traceable multicomponent standard solution to verify the performance accuracy of that lot of strips before use.
