**UPDATE***
A lot of people have been asking/commenting as to how I'm feeling about all this a year on (now almost two years).

*************************

Holy sh*t. (I am not drunk). Need sleep, can't sleep.
But if one person makes a choice to enrol in this thing, I will have no regrets in posting. Just do it.

really, 'don't judge it'. That is the worse advise one could ever give to another person. Using your judgement is the healthiest response for a human being to feel safe in new situations they have never encountered.

I am using my son's YouTube account right now and just seeing this post. I am 52, a mother of two boys, ages 16 and 20. I am so sad about the horrible things being posted about the Landmark Forum by people who have not attended and are making judgements about what it is or isn't. Back in 2002, I was introduced to it by a good friend who thought it would help me with some challenges in my life. I took my husband at the time to an introductory offer. We left there, he researched on the internet, found great things and "cultish" comments and FORBID me to attend. Well, I divorced him shortly after that and I attended about 6 months afterwards in 2004.

Landmark was one of the most transformational experiences for me. It was a tough 3 days of learning about how you became the person you are and how you can create anything you want for yourself and your life. As a result, I was able to let go of anger, have a deeper relationship with my mother, learn what role I played in my divorce and how not to bring that into future relationships and address the challenges of life with a new approach!

My sister and brother in law were on the verge of divorce. They both took the forum and it literally saved their marriage and they are forever grateful for my introduction to it, so if my efforts to get them to go caused this result, I will talk about it all day long to the people I love.

A few years later, I took the Advanced class and loved that too. It helped me to connect and give back to my communities in a powerful way. While they encourage us to introduce the program to others, there is nothing cultish about it. When you get amazing transformation and freedom for yourself, you naturally want that for other people in your life!

The cost of the class is so very reasonable. I am in the training business and a 4 day class is $2700 to learn how to lead better meetings. The Landmark Forum runs $645 for 3 1/2 days of class and then a free series of 10, 3-hour sessions that help to solidify what you learned in the real world. To me, that is so reasonable for a transformed life.

I was not involved in Landmark for many years, but used the techniques for addressing the challenges of life with great success. There is no "following of a leader" or request to give a percentage of your money or all your worldly possessions to them. I had my 16 year old take the forum for teens and through that, we have a much more open and honest relationship with each other.

I am sure there are people out there that have an OK experience or maybe don't like it. Some people don't want to look under the hood to see what is there. It is scary for some people and I understand that. But for those who have not experienced it at all, don't be so quick to judge. ;)

Thank you for posting. This brought me back to the final day of my Forum (back in 2008 I think). As I left the building I got a phone call from the friend who suggested it to me (a former Landmark graduate) and the first thing he said was "How are you going to tell anyone what it's about?" LOL !!! I had no answer, and we both know why. It was one of the top 5 experiences of my life and there's still no easy way to convey it's impact to others. Sending you (and you're local Landmark staff) kudos from Silicon Valley/California =)

That's awesome! I completed the Landmark Forum a couple of weeks ago and I'll be heading to my first free seminar tonight. Good work! Very inspiring.

I am amazed to still see so many people that have not set foot at at least one meeting about Landmark, have such strong and volatile reactions towards it. Does it cost money to go to a counselor, or a therapist, or a life coach? YES! So, why would there be no charge for a program/seminar? Do you recommend to people a restaurant you have loved, or a hotel, or a doctor? For free? YES! Why would you not want to share with people you care about about a powerful and pleasant experience? Landmark IS NOT A CULT. Is a tool, a tool like reading books, like going to therapy, like doing yoga, like taking cooking lessons. You learn something about yourself and you get to use it or not. No harm, no foul. No one is forcing you. There is literally nothing negative to get out of it and a ton of possibilities to gain. You will not be perfect, and they do not promise that you will not ever make mistakes. You will still encounter life at its finest and it will be up to you to tap into the tools/the learning's (just like cooking or any other trade you learn) to enhance or get/do better.

I did the Landmark Forum in 1995, and it changed my life, too.  I actually lived in London out of the LF and participated at the Centre there :)  Have a  blast with your new life!!!!

Just got spiritually abused out of 1200$ after a landmark session. Pitted my wife against me, questioned my morality for having hesitation for wanting to commit, proceeded to ask what childhood trauma I had when I was 3 that was preventing me from committing. wife apologized to me after we had time to reflect, as she praised my wife’s behavior as morally good for wanting to commit. I could see my wife was getting anxious and agitated with my resistance for wanting to commit on the scene, so to hold the peace I agreed to sign up. Strange thing man… strange strange thing.
Said I felt pressured, the staff stated “do you hear yourself right now? You know you’re hurting everyone here saying you are being pressured right now” proceeded to say “what happened when you were three years old that is holding you back in life right now? What trauma when you were three is holding you back?” Literally the first time I’ve talked to this lady, all the red tail signs of spiritual abuse. Freaking weird bro

Don't judge it? Where is that from? The Landmark Forum rule book?

Exactly! We have been brainwashed by life's experiences and made decisions as children and stick to those decisions for decades wondering why life isn't very satisfying! The LF allows us to see that we spend our lives making up stories that aren't even true and then we suffer in it. We learn about the rackets and excuses we give for failure to achieve. There is no other course like this. When I finished this course I wrote a "goodbye" letter to my therapist. What a racket that was!! No wonder I would be stuck forever going to these people who sit there and say nothing and charge $90 bucks a visit (back in 1987, no less). I finally got the truth of the matter and my life has been pretty satisfying over the last 30 years having benefit from it. Those who call it a cult just listen to opinions and adopt them. Most of them have never experienced it and don't even know what they are talking about. It called living in a box. Thank God we have been released from that!!

Can you please do a followup with your thoughts a year later.

I did the est training way back in 1982, followed by the Forum a few years later.  Like you, it shifted my life, my relationships, and that of all the people I have impacted.  Have a great new transformed life!

Barry L in Indpls IN / USA -- I'm a graduate of the Forum + Advanced from 10 years ago.
Currently doing the Integrity seminar - WOW ! Massive, rewarding, and a true breakthru for the future. Better relationships. Better love, better friendships, better work relationships.
I'd rather spend $650 for 3 intensive days, than $12, 000 for therapy, at $120 twice a week

I done the Forum in 2012 and the Advanced Course in 2013 and both have changed my life, I found it transformational and found it has rubbed off on our Daughter and she speaks with authenticity and integrity. I’m doing things now I would have deemed impossible because of the stories I would have carried around with me. I’m no longer an audience in the court, but now I’m on the basketball court.

Thank you !it'd amazing! It helps with everything and if people think that's a negative they should really see where they are at.

We finished forum right around the same time. I am in California though. Loved your videos and commentary. Completely experienced the roller coaster ride like you did. I'm in week 5 of seminar. Hope you decided to to it because it helps to solidify everything. I just finished Advanced this past weekend. Another huge "ah ha" moment. Have fun creating your possibilities!

Yeah I did it as well. Let's see if the "wow" will be there in a year. Or even three months. My therapist helped me through time and me making the effort to work on myself, three days is just rushing through a lifetime of issues and is not healthy or lasting. Good luck either way. :)

I did the Forum way back in 1999. Loved it. Got soooo much from it. Now my husband is finally about to do the forum in a couple weeks and I am so excited for him, but scared he will give up after day 1. Thank you for these three daily reviews. I will be showing him so he can hopefully stick with it until the end of day 3.

Are all the most successful and happy people I know Lankmarkians? Fuck no.

(1) How much pressure did they put on you to take the advanced (more expensive) course? (2) Unless you are willing to pay for your friends' tuition, are you really doing them a favor by subjecting them to a "hard sell" that WILL happen? I watched all three of your video "reviews" and you said basically nothing. Very disjointed gobbledygook. Is that what I can expect? Why couldn't you give one or two CONCRETE tools you learned at the seminar? Were you told not to "give it away"? I think you drank the Kool-Aid. Day 1 you were natural and authentic. By Day 3 you were a hypnotized Landmark zombie. Very scary de-evolution.
