He came back insanely quickly after that cord trip injury. I hear his knee was messed up yet he healed up in almost double time due to the constant physio he was doing. Not sure it was worth rushing it, Tony can be too hard headed for his own good, wants to continuously prove to himself how tough he is

I think people gloss over Tony tripping on that wire and blowing out his knee. To me, that was the true beginning of the end. He did defeat aging versions of Pettis and Cowboy, but he was already looking diminished in doing so. Gaethje was just the final nail in the coffin of his career.
