Ball Chains are one of the most popular ways to showcase a special pendant or charm. They are simple, elegant, and easily customizable. These come pre-made with a clasp, usually either a spring ring or lobster in different lengths from bracelet sizes up to double length necklaces or longer.

The standard length for women's necklaces is 16 or 18 inches. These are the lengths that charms will hang around the base of your neck. For more petite women, 16 inches is definitely the way to go. 18 Inches will hang just a little bit lower. Standard length for men is probably about 20-24 inches. On women, 20-30 inches will hang around the chest area. Any longer will be more towards the belly.

1mm to 1.5mm Ball Chains are the most dainty and they are mostly used for small charms. When you start to get to about 1.8mm and up, these become much more masculine and you can start using them for unisex designs.
