Countries Ranked By Education Systems 2020 (Worst To Best)

These rankings were based on three equally weighted countries that attribute a well-developed public education system, top-quality education, and whether respondents would consider attending university in that nation. A mix of federally run and decentralized education systems rank highest. Countries With the Best Education System ranking is an annual perception-based global survey of university students, industrialists, academic educational professionals, school teachers, assistant professors, associate professors, adjunct professors, university professors, visiting professors, global business executives, and education policy experts. The survey was conducted from January to April 2020, gathering over 196,300 replies.

In order to determine the rankings, researchers at the CEOWORLD magazine compiled analyzed and compared 93 countries across two key categories: 1) Quality and 2) Opportunity. To evaluate those dimensions, researchers looked at 16 indicators that fell into one of the three categories. Each attribute was graded on a 100-point scale.

University funding and endowment
Specialization expertise
Industrial linkage
Academic educational professionals effectiveness
Institutional output by research
Higher education institutions perform in the various global rankings

2. Opportunity Index

Adult literacy rates

Secondary school completion rate
High school completion rate
Collegiate-level school completion rate
Government expenditure on education, total (% of GDP)

As someone from the UK, I must say that the UK should not be at number one, the education system in the UK is good in comparison to many countries around the world, but in terms of truly educating the country on an equal level while also teaching the social skills for students to feel motivated and not lost when it comes to making future life choices on an equal level, the UK has a looking way to go

As a Thai and I think Thai education should ranks lower in the video because inequality in quality of public school between in big city and in rural, Long school hours and so many homework compared to most other countries, strict haircut and uniform rule with corporal punishment still exist in some school that we can see them in the news, And student seem can't choose their interested subject to learn. They can't avoid some indispensable subjects like swimming, scout or Thai dance that some of them can't do or fit with it. If they don't attend the class they will not get passed.

Wouldn't the best education system be the one that educates the best? NO scholastic scores are included in this "study", if they were America would not be at the top. Sure, we have nice schools and highly compensated teachers and professors with exorbitant pensions, but that doesn't result in high scores in math, science and literacy. Let's re-run this facade based on academic results and I believe you will see countries like Singapore at the top and America more in the 15-20 range. Propaganda.

Lol in the US has one of the worst education systems 😂😂😂 Secondary, not tertiary education. What is taught in the USA in the 12th grade, in Russia they study in the 6-7th grade, and this has been proven long ago by lmao. In the United States, the emphasis is on the humanities, and in Russia on the natural and exact sciences. The knowledge of an adult American in mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography and biology is practically nil. But they know a lot of things in social studies and drawing 🤣
