Rampage Arcade (2018)

Показать описание
Up to three simultaneous players control gigantic monsters who were formerly normal animals. The game's protagonists are George, a King Kong-like albino gorilla, Lizzie, a Rhedosaurus-like crocodile, and Ralph, a humongous wolf—all accidentally transformed by an experimental pathogen capable of modifying an animal's DNA via CRISPR.

As monsters, they need to raze all buildings in a high-rise city to advance to the next level, eating people and destroying helicopters, tanks, taxis, police cars, boats, and trolleys along the way.

Gameplay is largely the same as that of previous games in the franchise but there are a number of differences.
Players can now destroy entire buildings much faster than before. A new "evolution" system allows players to collect power-ups and have their on-screen characters grow in size. Also a departure, levels take place in the same city with each new level being in a "background" of the previous one.

Rampage is a 2018 arcade game developed by Adrenaline Amusements and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment based on the 2018 movie of the same name. It serves as a reboot to the video game franchise, which Warner Bros. owns via their purchase of Midway Games. It is available exclusively at Dave & Buster's and Hollywood Bowl. As in previous games, players take control of gigantic monsters trying to survive against onslaughts of military forces. Each level is completed when a particular city block is completely reduced to rubble. It features redemption game mechanics.

I remember playing the hell outta this game at Dave & Buster's. The first time I saw it was when I went to D&B's for my 33rd birthday in 2018, and I was always Ralph the wolf.

This proves midway did the better and not Warner Brothers. This looks like a mobile game.

Not the same without the over the top cartoon feel.

That last bit you mentioned isn't new, Total Destruction worked the same way. There were multiple cities, but each city was comprised of several levels or "blocks, " with the next block behind the one you're currently playing on. It was also fully 3D and the monsters could finally climb up the FACE of the building, not just the sides, among a bunch of other neat things. Total Destruction was the most interesting and interactive the series ever got, so it's really weird to see a tie-in game to the movie be so much of an afterthought. Although there was that VR game that was more interesting.

tail slap seems OP? I remember in universal tour (PS1) you need a super punch just to destroy an entire floor in one attack.

even better if you could up load an image of yourself, then enhance it in the game with mixed reality features that you create like you can uploading videos in photo shop pro, that would be a laugh

I see these buildings have the same mechanics as all 3 World Trade Center buildings.
