For my money, the greatest trio ever.

A blip of two years as a band, and they're still one of the best bands that's ever been. So, yea. They've stood the test of time...

Ginger was right when it comes to know if Cream will stand the rest of time. He was right . As he was often when it comes to music . Great man .

Amazing what they achieved in the brief time they were together. Especially compared to the output of today’s artists.

First time I"ve ever heard GB speak positively about something

I liked them then and...I like them now. A mainstay of music.

Thanks Ginger, for all that you gave.

So many have tried to replicate it, but never managed to get the elements, context or serendipity right. That’s why they are remembered and cherished… and dissed too😅.

Just enjoy the music folks- marvellous

Ginger made the drums talk. Jack made the bass talk. Eric made the guitar talk. It was 2 thirds improvisational jazz, 1 third electric blues, and another third (impossible, I know) shear balls.

Oh, yeah. I just never can get enough of that "Sleepy Time Time."

One of my great disappointments in life is that I never got to see them live .

The test of time? That's funny...
For the Original, and decades later still the greatest power trio and 'Supergroup' of all time, with all three members being brilliant virtuoso musicians.

The best three piece rock band of all time. Sit down and listen to Wheels of Fire, from start to finish, and you'll know I'm right!!

Of course they stood the "test of time". But nowadays, the reality of current music is the factor which is making every band of the 60, s (not onlt the best ones), stand it. There is nothing good today😔

Clapton got sick and tired of all the drama between the other two

Truly great band whose phenomenal live performances have become the stuff of legend! I think Stigwood may have toured them rather too intensively in the U.S., which must have exhausted them. Eric has always been a restless soul musically, so I guess he would have left at some point anyway! ❤
