I'm gonna say this again. You haven't no idea how much you're helping me. I wish there was a support group I knew about In indianapolis

Thank you for your information. This helps me better understand my husband's behaviors. Bless you. My husband can't distinguish images on his placemat. He picks at the grapes or whatever thinking it real.

I think Mom has a problem with proprioception. Tends to drift to the side in a chair with no armrests, will run right into things with her walker at home, hard to straighten body out in bed, etc. can be a big safety issue.

The second examples can be symptoms of Adhd as well.

Especially with my husband, who has macular degeneration. He cannot see faces and calls every person male because voice is the one clue. 💖

Some people have prosopagnosia (face blindness) from birth.

Glad my mother recognized us right before she died.

Can you talk about Anosognosia in dementia? My Dad has to be the most frustrating patient I’ve ever attempted to treat as an SLP. Absolutely no insight into any of his many deficits at all.

Wild. My Mom does this from time to time. The last week she has been almost completely herself and remembering things from her past and remembering our conversations during the say. It is wild! I just don't know what is going on. She is expressing stage 5 to 6 alzheimers dementia and recently Lewy Body. Thank you for this video! ❤🎉

Cholesterol meds - I was having problems with face blindness. After my research concluded it was from my cholesterol meds I stopped taking them and almost immediately back to normal!

A couple more not talked about...My husband has left hemispheric disassociation and mirrored self misidentification.

I never knew it had a name. I don't even know my own children if I see them in a place I don't expect them to be. Unless they say something, then I know them.😎🤷

Thanks so much for all the tips. I’m at the beginning stage of caring for my mum who has a brain injury that presents as dementia. It’s very difficult some days. How do I politely explain to her that her home is smelly? She has stopped opening up windows and doors and dad has a ileostomy. They cant smell it and I don’t want to be rude.
