I recently turned 40 and have been single for much of my adult life. Rather than do anything to change my single status, I have decided to commit to staying single. Here's why.

If you haven't already checked out the relationships masterclass on The Vessel, what are you waiting for? It's all about self-empowerment and self-love. I couldn't recommend it highly enough:

Thanks for watching! The point of this video is about the importance of embracing whatever path we're currently on. If you're currently single, then be single with all your heart. Love your current state and be open to things changing. If you're currently in a relationship, also embrace it with everything you have.

I'm 33 years old and I have completely given up on the idea of relationships or even dating and I'm the happiest I've ever been

Relationships and Marriage is a joke nowadays. I’m 40 never married no kids, and I don’t regret it at all. I’m living a happy and stress free life to the fullest.

I think the trick is that if you’re single, enjoy the heck out of it, and if you’re in a healthy relationship also enjoy it. Don’t be in a relationship just because.

NOT having kids was the best decision I ever made. Period.

You don't have to worry about getting hurt again. It's so relieving to be alone. I have more room for growth and I'm more determined

I'm 55 years old and I've never been married. When I was younger I felt pressured to find a partner and for that reason it never worked out. I eventually realized I didn't want this and it lifted a big weight off my shoulders.

I love being single, I don't owe my life or live for anyone but my self.

I’m 41 and happily single. Been so for the past 10 years after someone broke my heart. I’m not opposed to meeting someone who might choose to reciprocate my love, but I don’t see myself chasing anyone. I have zero tolerance for deceit, disrespect, and control. I choose freedom, self-care, and self-respect over making myself emotionally available to someone who might not be available to truly love and cherish me. Better to be alone than lonely with someone.

LOVE THIS!!!! I'm 60 - never married, no kids - and feel like my life is just a goldmine of happy, fulfilling experiences! The freedom is so awesome! I feel sad for people who live their lives glued to dating apps and tolerating substandard relationships.

I love being single!!! Every time I am in a relationship, just so much more stressful. I was scared being lonely but not anymore.

Also 40, Been single for a while now, tried marriage when I was 33 but turned she was ready for the wedding not for the marriage, had 1 relationship after but she was way too narcissistic and 1st level toxic from her previous relationship, so that really opened my eyes to all red flags making it easier to walk away from anything that doesn't sit right. Now....just focused on my business and goals, no stress no BS.

Simply work on loving yourself, go heavy on self-care and put yourself first. Everything in life starts and ends with you

I'm 45 and have committed to stay single. Life is full of ups and downs, I've been married, had relationships and they just didn't work out. Guess what? It's ok because I've realized not everyone's cut out to be that way and we are happier being single, meeting people, exploring cultures and learning new things. Most importantly, freedom and peace of mind.

I'm going on 74 years. I have been single by choice for 29 years and loving it. If a person has a good sense of who they are and what they want, what's not to love? Life is great. I know it's not for everyone, but I'm extremely happy.

Divorced guy here. Been singled for 4 years now. Never going through that again. Had too little to her expectation. One word come to mind now. Freedom.
