s23 series has to be one of the legendary launches in Indian phone history.. s23 ultra dominated every flagship all around the year that too coming at the start of 2023.

Finally one take I can agree with since it is India-centric (Prices vary across markets which swing things a lot. MKBHD's phone of the year(which I still disagree with) is the bust of the year in this video). It's not fair for a phone to come out in October and have it win phone of the year in December. The S23 series stood strong despite multiple new launches throughout the year. Despite its high price in India, it is still cheaper than both 15 pro series phones and has better hardware.

S23U is the smartphone of the year for sure, I have been using Samsung from last 10 years and always felt they are lacking on performance front but with S23 series combined with power of 8Gen2 this is the best smartphone I have ever used.

I've been using the pixel 8 since like 2 months now and its the best purchase decision I have made, battery life post the december security patch has changed the whole battery game making it last me easily throughout the day with 30-40% juice left. iPhone kids use my camera for pictures so that should explain how good it is. Sure the phone gets warm occasionally but not how much these Indian youtubers criticise it. PS I live in bombay so you get the idea. The only drawback is the price point but other than that it is MKBHD's MVP of the year ;)

for me the only problem with s23 ultra is the form factor, like it's too big and rectangular to use in daily life...Not easy to fit in pocket, not easy to use with one hand and yes after coming from OnePlus the charging speed feels too much slower
