Love the traditional "Yay, I'm 'bout to throw a bunch of damage dice" shake, even for friendly fire. 😁

Not only convinced them to kill each other, but her rogue training kicked in, and she aimed for the throat. As someone who has been there, I respect it.

They call this a sudden twist, average fireball enthusiast calls it a Monday.

So excited for Drakkenheim to return! I've been fiendin' ever since the cliff hanger from the last episode.

And Jeremy said D&D is not a PvP game. Proved him wrong!

Odd to see a warlock played by people who are into game design. Would love to hear your perspective on having potentially about 20% as many spells per long rest as ANY other full caster.

Yeah?

Two blasts on eldritch blast. So, I’m assuming level 5 here. That means two spell slots. Most tables do NOT play 6-8 encounters with 2 short rests (as per DMG) which absolutely brings a warlock in line with every other class.

So, if you do 1-3 fights per long rest … there is a good chance you have 2 fights in a day with no short rests. 2 spell slots for two fights … 1 spell slot per fight.

Every other full caster at that level gets 9 spell slots. And, those free first level false life spells only count for so much.

Role playing any other class as a warlock gets you the same flavor …. But gets you those 9 spells slots at level 5 compared to 2 … that recharge on short rest (that people don’t take many of).

Do they just do a short rest after every single fight with three fights per day instead of the 2-3 fight “suggestion” from the DMG?

Have they had a day where they rear after every fight then run into the 2 short rests per day max rule with a 4th fight and no warlock spell slots?

Still leaves you with days where you do one fight then long rest … where you have 2 spell slots instead of 9, and a bunch of invocations that grant more spell options with the same spell slot casting limitations.
