Theme of Laura (Silent Hill 2) - GaMetal Remix

Our week of Halloween songs continues with our first visit to the Silent Hill series!

Alright so, it's not exactly a 'spooky' song, but it's from one of the most well known horror game franchises, so it definitely counts.

I've done my best to piece together this arrangement of Theme of Laura with the 'missing' pieces that are present in some of the Silent Hill 2 trailers, but not a part of the official track for some reason.

This is perhaps the most non-metal GaMetal remix of all time, but that doesn't mean it isn't rockin'. Enjoy!

OMG. I remember back when I was a kid, sixteen years ago. We did a cover of this song, with my band. We spend hours watching and listening the trailer for the solo. Trying to get it right.

We built a Guitar Pro tab for this song, from the ground up. Guitars, drums, bass, violins, everything! We got it 99% right. We also did a GP tab to Akira Yamaoka's "Waiting for you.".

I saved the files to my family's shared PC. Few years later, my dad wiped the hard dives and the tabs with them... I'm so glad, someone did a cover of "Theme of Laura" with the guitar solo included. Thank you. This brought back so many fond memories.

I may have a very large bias towards this song and game, but this right here I think might be one of my favorite GaMetal covers ever. You really took everything this song had (and even what it had lost with the inclusion of some of the missing parts featured in the games trailers) and translated it beautifully into your own style. I did legitimately cry when I first heard your cover of this

This game means a hell of a lot to me, a lot of its melancholic themes around many different depressing subject matters resonated with me a lot and the soundtrack whole tone really has helped me through some darker times. It is still a game I can call my down right favorite of all time, and I dont think that title is likely to be taken from it.

I was skeptical that I wouldn't like this one, because of my bias being the passion i have for this game, that it'd maybe be "too metal" for me--for this piece. But you absolutely hit the nail right on the head with this one. Brilliant. The best cover of this piece there is out there.

Just beat silent hill 2 for the fist time a couple days ago. What an amazing experience that was. Found out later that I got the in water ending, and I’m glad that’s what I got. Just seems so fitting for the game.
