How to make a broth made from cornstarch or amaranth plant? Amaranth is an edible weed - Amaranthus retroflexus. Styr belongs to the genus Amaranthus, which has over 60 species, most of which appear as weeds in field crops. Amaranth is an annual herb whose vegetation period is 90 to 120 days. Fresh leaves are used as food. They have a low caloric value, but are rich in group B vitamins, ascorbic acid, tocopherol and provitamin A. They are a significant source of minerals - potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc and phosphorus. Proteins contain 17 amino acids. Amaranth reduces cholesterol and blood sugar levels, cleans kidney stones and toxins from the body. A strong antioxidant that accelerates metabolism. Do not use it if you have stomach and intestinal problems.
The soup is best served with hot proja (corn cake).
