Arequipa is my favorite Peruvian city. I was there for Holy Week. The best time. I stayed in a hostel a block from Plaza de Armes for $10 a night with breakfast.

We are recently retired and traveling from Mexico to Argentina in search of our favorite retirement city. Arequipa is high on our list.
We are currently in Nicaragua and will be here until February…
Then 6 months in Guatemala and 6 months in Mexico.
After that we may fly to Colombia to stay in Medellin and Manizales…

Buenas Aires
Bariloche
I may have left out a few….

I am currently living in the neighborhood of Yanauara Arequipa. One of my favorite cities to live in the 4 years of travel. Great city, Great food, Great people. And yes very cheap. I eat out 7days a week, 3 times a day for around $12.00.
