I've met a few Indians in my life and they always seem to have a good sense of humour, I was just going through surgery and I asked if the metal from the surgery would set off alarms at airports and such and he said "Don't worry son, if I get through the airport no problems you will be okay" helped ease a lot of stress mid operation with a stupid joke.

Black american here: Came into an indian kids dorm the 1st time ever entering an indian residence. Def thought it smelled bad. Two days in the row, some of my customers have said the most hateful stuff about all of India based on how they speak and whatever one of the customers even was asking me where do these ingredients come from that they used to manufacturer because if they come from India, I do not want it. Ok that was funny- what isn’t funny is the blatant increase in outright racism towards Indians online. I don’t know what happened but seemingly overnight it’s everywhere. I personally don’t want that to become the pervasive attitude or concern regarding Indians in western society. We are the most economically prosperous ethnicity in America for a reason- we work our butts off, are highly educated, often have a very good family structure and support. We are leaders in the country- the CEOs of 15 of the top 100 tech companies in the world including Microsoft and Google have Indian CEOs. Apple’s new CTO is Indian. Hell the current leading candidate for president is half Indian. I honestly don’t know where the animosity comes from- is it just jealousy or ignorance?
