If I were to play a "vintage" booster box game, where I opened an older set at its current market value and tried to get THAT value back in the packs I cracked, what set would you like to see? No, don't say beta, come on now.

I feel like every time he plays this game it frays away a little more of the sanity he has left and we're just watching his descent into becoming a comic book villain.

I want to make one of those "Hot Singles In Your Area" ads but w/ the Prof as the model holding some Commander staples.

“If you are having fun, you are doing it right.” I think this is something that a lot of players have forgot and I’m really glad you mentioned that. People need to remember this before they go on criticizing others.

Statistically, one of these days, you'll open a $0 box on camera and it's going to be beautiful

All I could think while watching the opening was "Wow those are some low singles prices."

"Or will it be 76, which I will distribute across a five part series?"
Me: nervously notices the runtime.

It feels so good to see Three Visits get reprinted and go from 200 dollars to 2 dollars.

This series is basically my nicotine patch for anytime I get the urge to buy a booster box

I do my fair share of buying singles, but they don't give me the same tingly feeling I get when I crack boosters and I love that feeling.

Absolutely loved the music choices lol. Felt like we were all getting crazier and crazier with each box. Well done Professor!

This wasn't a booster box game, this was a descent into madness

Ok ok. Why isn't Red Mars next to Green Mars and Blue Mars on your bookshelf? Yeah - I'm asking the REAL questions.

finally prof! you finally say it right, buy the singles you need, yes, but always recognize some of us open packs for fun and like to build with what we get. it takes a brave soul to come up with something out of the cards you get from a booster box, and a level of creativity most people forget about.

Ya know, I was having a really rough day, then remembered I hadn't watched this yet...it really brightened my day and put a smile on my face. Thanks Prof!

In the time of Covid, my friends and I all bought a draft box of CL and we are opening half of the box and building a 60 card singleton commander deck using that card pool. Then each week we play via spelltable, and at the end of the week, we open 3 more packs, and add 10 cards to the deck for the next week. After 5 weeks, you have a 100 card commander deck built entirely from our draft boxes. Deck building has been a blast so far, and i think it's a fun way to get extra value from the box, and not just crack packs for the heck of it.

Ahh... the feel of having a stack of full packed unopened boosters ^_^. The excitement of what card might show behind the current. Looking at the foils, the art. It's all good fun ^_^. Some cards are really beautiful to look at.

Man, I love that the set has cards like Jewelled Lotus, Hullbreacher, Opposition Agent... those cards are the ones holding most of the value in the set, which means the cards that are actually fun and worth playing are SO cheap! Happy for Mana Drain and Vampiric Tutor to soak up some of the value too, though I wouldn't mind if Scroll Rack were cheaper still... and then I wish the dual lands were less than $5 a piece, but maybe at that point I'm being greedy.
