A must-see in Athens is the changing of the guard. It’s maybe one of the most unique of its kind in the world. The Evzones, who make up the Greek Presidential Guard, guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 24 hours a day in front of the Greek Parliament. The changing of the guard takes place on the hour, every hour – it’s a real spectacle!

It's a 3 hour guard, completely motionless, not an 1 hour one. These conscripts are working out well to withstand this physically demanding task. Btw, it's an honour to serve one's duty in this department.

Evzones huh? So that's what you call them in english. I went to athens on a school trip and we went to see these guys switch guard and at one point a higher-up came to wipe their faces because these guys have to be 100% still and at their post while on duty.

I don't want to mess with them. They look very dangerous with the skirts and pom-pom shoes they are wearing.

Why do Greeks like Egyptians more! In 1995, a Balkan concert was held in Slovenia, I asked the Greek orchestra, don't you be from Kairoua, no, we are Greeks, they say, their faces are more like Arabs, beards, curly hair and facial expressions! someone He told me that they came to Greece in the 1900s when there was a population exchange!
