🇬🇧 GARRUCHA (ALMERÍA) Pretty fishing village, the most important for this activity on all the eastern coast of Almeria. It is situated a little further north than the halfway point on the Levantine coast, in an ideal spot for enjoying its marvellous beaches, its tourist facilities and its excellent fish.
Although it has grown a lot thanks to tourism, it still has an important fishing port that is reflected in the excellent gastronomic offer based on the typical fish of the area. Special mention in this section deserves the Red Prawn of Garrucha, a seafood highly appreciated by the most important chefs of Spain.
The most beautiful area of Garrucha is its seafront that has managed to preserve the traditional charm of its promenade with elegant buildings facing the sea built at the beginning of the last century and its beautiful promenade with well-kept gardens.
The port of Garrucha is a hive of activity worth visiting as is its fish market, where fish auctions are held every day.

Hola. Enjoyed this video, as usual. There's something about beach towns and fishing villages that I love. I see you recorded it at your favorite time of day, in the late afternoon. I think I saw on the clock near the anchor (really nice) that it was 8:12. It seems like people stay at the beach pretty late there. I love the beach in the late afternoon. So relaxing.

It's getting pretty close to the end of the summer season here. The official end is on our Labor Day holiday, which is in the first week of September. Schools open, and the weather slowly gets cooler. I was wondering, since the weather stays warmer there, does the 'summer season' end there, or do people continue going to the beach etc just like it's summer?

Seems like there was some type of show being held at the castle at 6:07 with all the chairs there. The promenade here is absolutely beautiful. The classical railing along the edge really stands out. What a great place to take a stroll, and I noticed lots of cafes too.

Good thing the brakes on your bike squeak! Lots of people out for a walk.😅 They work like a horn. 😄 The town seems like it's mostly local people that live not too far away? Definitely different than some of the other towns with lots of tourists. Some of the apartment buildings here look a little older, but the view from those balconies must be amazing, especially at sunrise.

The chapel was beautiful. Was the priest celebrating a Mass? If so, what a great idea to hold a Mass outside in the summer.

At 26:00, I think I saw some carnival rides? It sort of reminded me of the seaside summer town where I spent the winter in Maine. Impressive sculpture at 27:00, and the marina too. Always a great closing shot. 🙂

Oh yeah, I voted for the beach at sunset thumbnail, even though the ship was good too. 😄

Take care.
