I was lost from God, this morning I told my dad I didn't want to go to church and he said he would pray for me. I felt such a bitterness in my soul, I knew I believed in God, I knew that I meeded him but I was too proud. Then I heard this playing from the kitchen (never having heard it before) and I prayed that God would take me back to be his sheep in safety. I went to the kitchen and learnt the name of this piece. God is good.

This performance and the attending comments prove my point. Sure, furiously flying fingers are impressive but music is supposed to evoke feeling, emotion, and passion. This kind of expressiveness and tonal control is equally high skill playing that never quite gets its due credit for what is required.

This type of performance of Bach takes virtuosic skill because the pianist must properly control and bring out each voice. Beautiful performance of this transcription. I'm currently working on this piece. It may sound easy, but it's not. I have something to aspire to. Bach was a genius! He did everything to glorify God.

I don't think most people get how extremely difficult it is to do what he is doing. Blowing my mind. I want to shake his hand, but I'd be afraid of breaking them and depriving the world of this gift.

There is no finer interpreter of profoundly lyrical music than Alessio Bax. PERIOD! His Beethoven, Opus 110 transcends all other interpretations. I'm sure it would have moved BEETHOVEN to tears if he could have heard it.

I don't normally comment on the performer, but he has such superb skill at balancing two different textures in the right hand. Bringing out the melody like that. Glorious. Bravo.
