I really like the Coupe but for the money, the SUV is better. What are your thoughts?

I have the Coupe version of the GLC. Absolutely NO regrets. It looks great, and the Car gets plenty of looks. Has plenty of room, I can bring whatever I want to bring with me. It's a sedan on steroids... handles great, good gas mileage. Not your soccer mom car, but if that's your thing get the boring SUV version. LOL...

I got a new 2020 GLC 300 4matic SUV myself, when I went to the dealer I listed up the essential options that I would want for a factory order assuming that they don't have one with the exact same options on inventory, the salesman obviously would like me to drive off with a new Mercedes rather than do a factory order 3 months down the line, so I gave him a monthly payment figure that I was looking for, and he managed to basically give a fully loaded one they had in inventory at the monthly payment figure I wanted, so I got the digital gauges, panoramic sunroof, and Burmeister stereo system, options that I didn't include initially. This was my first ever Mercedes-Benz purchase and the car is simply fantastic, it rides so smooth yet powerful, interior is so futuristic, the stereo system is the best sound I've ever heard out of a car, the exterior styling is perfection, so glad I didn't go with Acura RDX or BMW X3

It’s all down to personal taste - some people drink single malt neat and on ice and others chuck some cola in the mix and both are happy with their choice. Personally I detest carting around a box of empty space for “in case we need to load a dishwasher in the back” so I prefer the coupe look. (Let’s also be honest - if you drive this car you get stuff delivered so your trunk needs to accommodate nothing more than few groceries on occasion). The SUV says to the world “My kids own my ass” whereas the coupe says to the world “double income with no kids is the life” 😌

Very good and fair review. You cover most of the difference between the two models. The main difference as you mentioned is the depreciation value. Coupe keep it better.

Im switching from a C300 and I like the GLC Coupe way better as it looks better and the SUV looks like many other SUV on the road. Plus the SUV one is Soccer Moms.

I had the GLC SUV first then traded it in for the Coupe. The Coupe has been very uncomfortable with the loss of space to the point that I am in physical pain. I love the look of the coupe but I paid a lot more money for it than the SUV. I completely agree with this video having had both models. The ride is smoother in the Coupe but the seat and leg/foot room is completely uncomfortable.

It’s a matter of preference, I love the coupe, that’s my color, I have that same one; I’m sold, I want another one, same color only red/black interior. That vehicle is so nice SEXY, It drives so good. Get the coupe, those few extra $ is well worth it.

Not everyone needs the SUV space so sacrifice is relative. There are plenty of people who don’t want SUV stying or functionality. The coupe is far more attractive and arguably more functional because it use the concept of a hatchback design to attract a different customer. You’re paying more because arguably the coupe styling has a better resale value for single or married with no kids and thus people fitting this demographic might have more expendable cash to afford a beautiful SUV coupe of over another SUV designed vehicle.

Actually there are hybrid models for the coupe version. At least in Europe. 300e Coupe being one of them.

He keeps talking about the SUV as for families as if families are the only people who needs space! There are other kinds of people who needs space, like people who the SUVs were originally made for - sporty people - who needs space for their sports equipment.
