My god, I've got one of these locks. Opened the pack while working away. Got home and realised the code was not generic and it was put in a drawer. Watched your video so i could learn how to open mine . After you opened yours, i paused the video... got out my lock and 8455. What's the chances of that eh. Now i need to figure out how to change it. Will watch the rest of your video as you could show us that too. Great video, over the moon i found this today.

This method did work for me.
I decoded a BRINKS padlock in 5 min

Pretty much the same way as I used to open those 4 digit combo chain locks for bicycles when I was a kid. With a bit of practice can open them in about 20 seconds without any tools.

Speaking of tools... I have the same screwdriver pen as that, but found the bits too short to reach the screw to remove the cylinder from padlocks. So I found an old hex wrench the right size, and cut off a piece to use as a spacer and glued it into the socket of the pen so the bits stick out further.

I also have a Master combination padlock I have no idea how to open, it has a single round button on the face that looks like a dial but is not and 4 arrows around it. The idea is to push the button in the 4 directions in the proper sequence to release the shackle, and it has me stumped.

I picked up one of these a while ago, couldn't feel my way into it because it was so stiff but I found that if you're careful with a decoding shim you can feel a feature beside each of the wheels which corresponds to the gate. The only problem is that you'd get the same feeling at diametrically oposite ends of the wheel, so if you felt it at 0 you'd get it at 5 for example, which gives you 16 possible combinations to try.

Nicely done master locks may be easy but sometimes they are interesting to decode or pick especially when I'm in a picking slump
