I bought one new in '23 and have been very satisfied with the performance. I have other saws that I use for limbing and regular cutting. The 391 is used when cutting large maple, oak or Tamarac pine. The power of this saw is tremendous and I wouldn't need anything bigger for my use. I'm 71 years old and keep up physical stamina by using my saws 2-3 times per week. This saw is my ideal machine. Thanks for your info about air filter replacement- I'm buying one tomorrow!

I have a MS 391 and it has a 25 inch bar on it. I bought it like that. Are they only supposed to use a 20 inch bar?

I have emptied old gas and put new. I have changed spark plug, air filter and fuel filter. I have checked the plug spark. It is blue but seems weak. It still won't start. Any suggestions. BTW the plug does not get wet. I have put gas in the carburetor and even wet the plug. Still doesn't start.

Hi fit it with a smaller bar 16 or 18 inch will cut alot better and faster never a fan of large bars unless you have a saw with immense power like 661 or 881.

I have never seen such dull chains on saws which are being evaluated in a video. Pretty silly.
