Google TV Streamer (4K) Unboxing

So... I recorded this in HDR on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, directly to external storage. Editing was a pain. Premiere didn't like the footage at all. Probably won't use my iPhone to record HDR. The ending got a bit weird because I was using the 1tb nvme that came with my Steam Deck, and the write speed wasn't as good as my smaller NVME. So it gets a little "skippy", like frame by frame at some parts. Not bad enough to delete the video, but whatever.

How do you find it compared to your previous Chromecast? Is it worth the upgrade?

It would have cost them pennies to add another USB Port or Micro SD Card slot at the back. Would then be perfect for watching videos and viewing photos

If your TV has a certain setting (I forget what it is), you can use your TV Remote to control the Streamer. I can do it on my Sony TV with the older ‘Chromecast with Google TV’

Hey, can you jump between open apps like on the nvidia shield (pressing home twice brings up a list of apps and is easy to jump between ) when I watch a YouTube video on this, go to Netflix and then back to YouTube, the video I was watching slows to a crawl with no audio

Definitely more fluid than the Chromecast with Google TV. Disappointed it doesn't have Wi-Fi 6 or 6e. Had to set it up manly as the crappy Google Home app never works properly during setup.
