I cannot overstate the level to which this conversation is vital and necessary for men to hear and to wrestle with. This has been the most convicting and at the same time uplifting exchange I have seen on any social media platform in years. My thanks and appreciation to both of you, gentlemen, for boldly speaking truth in love.

The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalized.

Love it when my favorites meet. Any sane person can clearly understand Nick's positions on all these topics. If you don't agree completely, you have to admit that he lays down common sense arguments that are reasonable and good for society. We need a nation of men like this.

I am so delighted, Matt, that you had Nick Freitas on your show. He is a true gift to our country and to Christianity. I encourage people to at least watch to his "shorts" on YouTube if they don't have time to listen to his shows. He speaks truth in creative ways but never compromises or softens the truth. He's a true man of God. Thanks Matt!

I haven’t listened to Nick’s content much at all so I am new to him, but his take on marriage and how husbands and wives should operate throughout life, is refreshing. There’s something fulfilling about the way he speaks about duties as a husband.

This was truly one of the best podcast’s I’ve listened to of late. I have so much respect for both of these men and learn so much about faith and being a good wife. We’re a little unique because we both come from secular upbringing and he from an intensely broken home. We met at 16 and 17 and moved in together quickly and did all the things secular couples did. We got married 10 years later and while we actually did live biblically sound lives as a married couple we’ve only in the past 4 years becoming wholly invested in Christ. It’s a GIGANTIC challenge though for each of us to change toward one another (in positive ways) after 35 years of dealing with our marriage differently. I only want to be the help mate that I’m supposed to be and fail miserably often but Nick’s words today on marriage has given me so much ammunition I need to be more understanding of him as a man and also as someone who needs more grace than some due to a lifetime of hurt. His paternal Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Uncle and Dad (last year) all committed suicide so it’s particularly important for me to bring him up not down. All to say THANK YOU to you both. I feel that we’ll be better with Jesus and your words.

I haven't heard of this gentleman, I am more than halfway through listening to this interview and I love it. I loved all of the family stuff, the husband stuff, daughter, s etc. Etc. And the veteran stuff has been fantastic. Great interview!

What people don’t realize when calling us boring or suppressed because of our sexual ethic is that the studies definitively show that couples who follow this sexual ethic are happier, have more fulfilling relationships, and have much better sex. It’s not like we’re losing out on something, people who sleep around are losing out and we rightfully pity them.

I wish I had heard a lot of this advice (and listened) 5 years ago. Could have avoided a very painful marriage. I fooled myself into thinking we shared values. Ignored so many red flags. Sometimes wisdom comes at a high price.

I worked with Nick’s dad down in Watts with LAPD back in the day. Both good guys!
