Centre has brought in an ordinance making LG the final arbiter in matters of posting, transfers, vigilance etc. Why did centre promulgate the ordinance after the SC verdict? Will the ordinance render Kejriwal helpless and ineffective?

In any committee all members should be independent and have equal status. In this case chief secretary and Home Secretary who are subordinate to the CM are being equated with the status of the CM and can challenge decisions of the CM who is responsible for administration and answerable to public. I have no soft corner for Kejriwal, but the Ordinance is bad in law and sets up but precedent

Both BJP of Narendra Modi and AAP of Arvind Kejriwal have the mindset of indulging in confrontations.

Please recall meetings of the National Integration Council in UPA days when Narendra Modi, as Chief Minister, used to harangue the Union Govt and walk out of the meeting; Jayalalitha used to join him.
