Emotional fans pay tribute to Stan Lee

THE creative force behind Marvel Comics Stan Lee has died, aged 95.

Lee died in hospital after falling ill at his home in the Hollywood Hills, his devastated daughter confirmed yesterday.

He had suffered from ill health in recent months including pneumonia and heart problems.

Lee is the man behind the hugely popular Marvel universe graphic novels and films, including: The Incredible Hulk, Spider Man, X-Men, Black Panther and the Avengers – as well as many others.

He was also known for playing cameo roles when his comics were adapted into movies.

Lee is survived by his daughter J.C – while his wife of 69 years, Joan, died in 2017.

Speaking to TMZ, J.C said: "My father loved all of his fans. He was the greatest, most decent man."

Lee was a US army vet and his final tweet was sent out to mark Veteran’s Day – the American version of Remembrance Sunday.
