This is a note to all atheists who are making starting comments in here: Guys don't attack Christians and creationists unless they challenge our beliefs or claim that their beliefs are 100% true. Honestly it people like you guys that are giving atheists a bad name. We have to be better then them and only try and fight them when they try and punch us in the face first. And to Christians, I'm fine with you stating your opinion. But don't go claiming anything that requires belief as fact without any evidence. Also, don't go attacking an argument using the bible as your defense. That is making you guys look bad too. What we need on the internet is respect for one another and try and honestly, don't be mean to another person when you want them to try and listen to you. We need peace, we need to make the internet into a society to where we can have friendly debates instead of attacking people when they say that they are Christian, atheist, Muslim, or anything else.

I took geology in the yukon and we actually got to see a piece of the acasta gneiss. It was a pretty ordinary, round grey rock, but it was fascinating to know that this thing I held in my hand existed long before me, my parents, and possibly even life on Earth. To see a piece of something so foundational to our understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe is... indescribable.

My biggest problem is Christians constantly claiming we cannot question the bible because it is the word of God. The bible was written by men not by God. It is not infallible and should be held to the same standard as any other book. Believe what you like, but outrageous claims require evidence to be accepted. I agree with the idea to stop attacking and arguing each other, that solves nothing.
