The stickers will take you longer to apply than the basic assembly of this Tigercat ! It is that well designed and all the hard work has been done for you. All control surfaces are hinged and connected up to their respective servos. I did find that the motor on the right wing was spinning the wrong way so had to unbolt the nacelle and swap 2 of the 3 phase wires into the electronic speed controller. Despite trying for an hour I could not get the water transfer decal for the nose art to stick but a very minor point and easily corrected with some of my own sticks in the near future.

I did have concerns over the balance point. Manual states 70-80mm from the leading edge of the wing where it meets the fuselage. With the 4-Max 6S5000 pack right up the front of the fuselage (and just in front of the battery strap!) it was at 68mm. As I show in the video I did think I might have problems taxiing and the Tigercat might drag its tail on the ground. No fear because with full elevator down while moving on the ground the nose wheel stayed firmly planted on the runway.

A slow take off roll and progressive throttle up to just over half power and the Tigercat left the ground with half flap in a 10-15 mph head wind. Gear up after take off and flaps up on the down wind leg and I was amazed no trim was needed. Of course I had checked on the ground that all the control surfaces were at neutral.

After some lazy figure eights and low passes for the camera I dropped the landing gear and put in half flap for the landing. First landing was not especially tidy but the subsequent flights with the onboard camera showed gentle touch downs.

This is a very good looking twin warbird that has great presence in the sky. It has no vices at all. Both motors pull equally and you just need some rudder with the ailerons to get some nice scale turns at each end of the flying field. Look out for our next video where I will explore some aerobatics with this king of the sky.

Filmed by Jason for the 'Essential RC' YouTube channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K camcorder. Onboard action captured using the Insta360 GO2 action camera.

Greetings from Knoxville Tn. I have this plane and it's one of my favorites. It comes to the field everytime I go. Put in a bigger battery. I fly with a 6s 7000 50c and with mixed throttle I'm getting 7 to 8 min of flight time and no problems with CG also. Overall though nice flight and I love all of you're videos. And yes it's a maiden so take it easy. It's very gentle and doesn't have really any bad characteristics. Put full flaps and she will just about float all the way down.

Excellent camera work and placements. Very good demo flight and commentary. Thank you.

In respect of waterside decals. You could consider using Micro Sol. I have used it on foam without affecting the foam. Micro Sol with soften the decal, allowing the decal to conform to those rivets. As always try/test beforehand.

Brilliant maiden Dom, taking on board your pointers of CoG etc. cannot wait to fly mine, I always prefer to fly a bigger bird, seams easier to fly.

Looks great sounds nice. What camera's do you use on the plane please? They must have a mike too. Never fitted a camera but keep thinking about it.
