Macron says Russia, Ukraine both committed to Minsk accords • FRANCE 24 English

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday said the leaders of both Russia and Ukraine had committed to honouring the Minsk accords. "We have now the possibility of advancing negotiations," Macron told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during a news conference after the two had held talks in Kyiv. For people that don't understand the Minsk agreement: yes.. 12-point roadmap as follows: ensure an immediate bilateral ceasefire; carry out descentralization of power; allowing temporary local self-government in areas of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine under a "special status" law; immediately free all hostages and illegally detained person; ensure monitoring on the Ukrainian- Russian border and a security Zone; and ensure the holding of snap local elections in Donetsk and Luhansk; remove illegal armed groups; military hardware, and all fighters and mercenaries from Ukrainian territory; pass a law against the prosecution and Punishment of people over certain events in Donetsk and lugansk region.

As much as I do not like Macron's politics he has done a great job as a negotiator.

It's not a question of interpretation, but of implementation.
Ukraine agreed to this plan but is refusing to implement it.
Beside being involved in the creation, Russia is not a party in the Minsk agreement.
The conflict in Ukraine is a national conflict that must be resolved within Ukraine.
Russia is merely protecting the ethnic Russian population in Eastern Ukraine.

Macron's intiative welcome by world for peaceful solution with dialogues and initiative of solve the internal problem of Ukraine under Minsk agreement.
But what will be sequrity gurenty to Russia.
I think US will tool Ukrain problem to divert the sequrity gurenty of Russia. Already benifited economically to high prices gas to EU countries and sold costly arms to Debt burden Ukraine. These opportunities will not loose. So problem will not not solve rapidly.
