Might I suggest Tiling Shell added in? IDK if you'd use it or not, but it basically adds Windows Power Zones or whatever they call them to Gnome. It's bloody awesome.

If you are looking for a vscode alternative vscodium is a decent foss take on it without all the microsoft telemtry. I havent tried it yet in one of the Universal Blue builds to see how it works with the containers though.
Loving the bluefin-dx build. Working on some contianerized django apps currently and updating some stuff in godot for work. Been hella smooth.

"Cloud-native" is arguably even harder to understand than "immutable" or "image based" and I've seen people call it a buzzword, although it may have been in a completely unrelated context. I guess you mean it as indicative of how the system is built rather than how it works?
edit: although it's kinda hard to separate the two now that I think of it

edit3: but I'm still not sure if "normal" or even technical users are going to see "cloud native" in the description and be like "I totally know what this means and this is exactly what I need!"

If you don't mind i have one question, actually two questions a bit off topic of this video because it's related to Bazzite.
Not really important, just wondering why.
Since some apps can't be removed, can't the uninstall bottom disappear from the store or list them as system apps ?
Second question, sunshine, input remapper, discover overlay, applications web, rom configuration properties page, heck even waydroid/Gsconnect (i don't connect phone/pc no need) and already got a big mess in the desktop because i took a look at waydroid.

Do they (technically) need to be baked in ?
Can't they be added through Bazzite portal ?

Im testing Bazzite, i really like it, most probably will try bluefin too.👍

I know you don't maintain it but in Aurora Konsole+Powerline+Distrobox can perfectly replace Ptyxis, that doesn't really add much to Plasma users and it just look out of place with its GTK look&feel.

yeah virt-manager is very deprecated but sadly last time i checked cockpit vm module lacked a lot of the functionality i rely on from virt-manager (without writing the xml myself), might have changed now though maybe 🤔

One of the bigger things missing is an auto-tiling manager extension, similar to what pop_os did or paper_wm. I personally think that floating window management is the devil, just imagine phones would use it…

Hi Jorge. Congrats for your awesome project. I move today from Fedora 40 workstation to Bluefin. I install it on my 2015 iMac and is all working great out of the box! I’m just a Linux simple user still learning how atomic systems work. I’m just a little confused between the differences using ujust and brew. There any video or documentation that help understand? Tks and keep on going!

Personally I always enable user themes and change the shell theme to yaru, just because the default gnome theme is boringly grey

Hey i'm very interested in bluefin and some questions come to my mind: Is there any way to install Steam (as container maybe or bazzite overlay?) Is there a way to install hyprland window manager (rpm-ostree from silverlight?)? Also is there native PWA support like on chrome-os?

Is flatpak steam gaming on par with the bqzzite client? Can i a non developer run bluefin but still enjoy my games as i do in bazzite?

How stable is it running BlueFin in a VM when my main PC is on Windows?
