The Art of Asking a Question

Показать описание
Is there an art to asking a question? And is it true that we already have an intuition of the answer when we ask a question?

Rupert says your question actually comes from the intuition of the answer. The purpose of the question is to bring that intuition into focus and the purpose of the answer is to make the knowledge that you already have available to you.

It's not the answer that satisfies you — it's the understanding. The real answer is your own understanding and nobody can give you understanding. Somebody can evoke the understanding in you, but the understanding takes place in yourself.

So take time to distil the question and then live with it, spend time with it, really ponder it. That's your way of inviting the answer to come directly from inside you, rather than mediated through another person.

UG Krishnamurti quote... "Question are born out of the answers you already have."

I'm on my phone listening to a Jay Shetty interview with Byron Katy and he is talking about how we sometimes ask questions that aren't really questions. They are really demands to the universe "this needs to be different!" I was thinking "the universe really does answer every sincere question." Just as I was thinking that the notification for this video pops up by screen.

I laughed and cried. I love synchronicity!

I have been sitting with my question “what comes after this life” for most of my life. I am sure the answer is on the tip of my tongue....any day now.

Any question you ask, is direct communication with your conscious universal self.

Jean Klein used to say that the answer stands before the question. I found this interesting.

In Advaita you don't find an answer to your question instead you lose the question itself. In "I am" there is no space for anything else to exist other than absolute awareness.

While we focus on teachings of the lord in Bhagavad Gita - it's also worthwhile to focus on questions asked by Arjuna, that gives a view of the persona - who asks the right questions, which in turn are so evolved that the answers from lord appear as a logical conclusions to the questions - art of asking right questions therefore indicates the amount of reasoning and filtering that's already gone in - thanks for this beautiful discussion

I always say this. If I listen to a question and can understand the meaning of the words in it I can usually know the answer even if I never knew it consciously prior. Ty for this. I haven’t listened to it yet though lol

O God! All praise is for You, Whom I pray to and get answered, and Who sought my friendship, so I am thankful to You, and You are the Most worthy of being thanked by me! My God, my only Saviour, save me and deliver me from evil, and forgive my sins, for You are the Most Good and Most Merciful! Save me God, I pray to You, I beg You, I plead to You, bring me salvation, give me Your Grace, let me not be of those lost, but give me eternal life! God! I testify that there is no god or deity but You!

Accept my prayer.

In You I trust! You are my only hope and You are my only Saviour!

I am fully dependent on You my God, so I PLEAD and BEG You my God...

Save me!

You are the Most Great, and You are the Most Good, the Most Glorious! You are TOTALLY PERFECT and TOTALLY DIVINE, You are the Most Beautiful, the Light and the Absolute Truth!

My God, save my life!

Ameen.

Ask yourself, why does God need a man sitting on a seat, to let the world know just how awesome, good, righteous, caring and loving God is? If it isn't obvious already🤔. Something very suspicious about that🤔
