Barry Douglas, the Belfast born pianist, won the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in 1986 and has since established an outstanding career as an international pianist. Well known for his work as Musical Director of Camerata Ireland, the OBE honoree shines in a programme entitled ‘Sublime to Monumental’ as part of the Dublin International Piano Festival & Summer Academy's 2016 season.

I know PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION best by Ravel's orchestration, but Barry Douglas makes the piano sound like an orchestra!

Not too clear, I meant, no fault of Barry Douglas who I have regarded highly for years.

Lovely performance, as others have said, in parts the sound is not too good, but fault of Barry Douglas.
