An outline to understand the lineup. I tried to stick to the Basics here, subsequently I would add to these ones in future posts.

GRADES OF LEATHER

1. TOP GRAIN (First Grade)
Full grain
Corrected grain
Nubuck leather

2. SPLIT LEATHER (Second Grade)
Bicast leather
patent leather
Suede leather

3. BONDED LEATHER (Third Grade)

Hello again Eris, another brilliant informative video, can I please add a point to your video that is very important for you, me and other Leatherworkers who understand and appreciate what leather is and how durable. It is a very high quality material that skilled hands can make the best products. People need to keep it in mind and realise that in the long run it is worth the bit extra cost because with care you can have it for years and like good wine gets better, looks classic not old. Stay away from the reconstituted leather mentioned last. It is rubbish but it wrongly can be labelled and advertised as Genuine leather, Real Leather etc when it is mushy scrap sweeping mixed with crap and glue then flatten it like paper rolls. If it is cheap it is cheap not leather. Thanks Eris hope you don't mind me adding this xx
