Oilcan guitar: Making-of

I make upcycling Instruments in Berlin. This is a short making-of video and soundtest of the last oilcan guitar I made.

Parts used for this oilcan guitar:
Body: 10l oilcan
Neck: Mahogany
Fretboard: Rosewood
Tailpiece: frying spatula
Tuning-pegs: Harley Benton
Strings: D'Addario EJ26

This is how I make a guitar. I never properly learned how to make instruments, "real" luthiers might be doing it completely differently.

What impresses me is THE TONE! I would have thought it was a steel tricone resonator.

Well, I don't think my can is big enough to copy exactly, but you did show my that I could cut the bottom off to use as access for wiring and attaching the neck, so great video!

How does the string tension is handled by tin....it is thin....how do u fix the stem....do u giv support from inside the tin....
