Everton's new era under Frank Lampard began with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Brentford in the 4th Round of the FA Cup at Goodison Park today. The Blues boss was given a rapturous reception when he was introduced before kick off and the Toffees ensured that they fed off that energy to record their biggest win of the season.

Re: Mykolenko... We need to cut the lad some slack. What nobody mentions Is that his home country Ukraine is currently under threat of war with Russia. He must have family there, and will certainly have friends who are of an age to be in the army. This must be playing on his mind at times. I am not an Everton fan per se, but I am a football fan. Nothing exemplifies what's good about football like Frank Lampard. I sincerely hope your club does well under his management and that you stuff Liverpool the next time you meet them.

We're all going to fall in love with Lampard. I have a hunch we've hit the jackpot with Frank. He gets the club. Forward modern thinking manager backed up by a superb coaching staff and backing from an owner who seems determined to bring success to the club despite his shortcomings these past five years. COYB!

Few positives from today-

We pressed from the front and aggressively hunted the ball down. It’s taken a lot of pressure of our defence.

Taking chances with passes behind the defence and shots from outside the box!
How long has it been since we’ve seen a ball that wasn’t whipped in from the wing. Jesus. You love to see it. The passing was so much better today.


And shout out to myko. The lad did a lot better today. Offered an outlet to gray and made some good tackles. Good to see him playing with a smile on his face.

Utft. Felt a wave of relief after the final whistle. I know it’s very early days, but this is a style of play and team I can back. Keep it going, keep improving and that will keep

It is the first game, but I noticed as you say Baz, there was an energy about Everton that warmed my heart, which has been missing for a long time. Even Big Dunc was smiling instead of sitting not saying a word. We need a motivated Manager who show's delight when the team play well and encourage them if their heads fall. Our test will be at Newcastle, we will have the supporters there who will make themselves heard, and we need to show no fear against the opposition. Not sure what the team will look like at that game, I'm just hoping especially whoever plays will show pride in wearing our blue shirt and give their all. I hope Deli will get a chance and show us what he can give to the team. Donny although on loan, I just hope this loan move will make him feel a different and exciting player for us.
