The players have finally outgrown the federation. You can’t have players doing well in the worlds top leagues and then having a community college coach managing them nationally. You need a coach with aspirations to take the talent to the next level

They're both right. Sure, the US players aren't as good as many delusional fans claim they are, but the bigger problem is Berhalter demanding they play a single way regardless of the opposition. B is far worse a coach than the players are players.

When Ivory Coast, Morocco, or Germany underperform, no one questions them firing their coaches. When American fans point out the continuing failures of their coach, it's just "well American players are overrated" It's not like we expect the US to be as good as France, but we should be better than this. Gregg has 1 win against top 20 teams outside of Mexico (Iran), even previous American teams did better than that.

I am colombian, and I can tell that was expecting much more from USA, the squad is really talented. But if you see the second half of the game you will notice a serious lack of concepts about how to transition the ball from GK to the midfield, so the USA team scrumbled against a mid intensive pressure. I can tell you if you repeat this game in Barranquilla, Colombia, our team would be much more aggressive. They need to strengthen a lot the team game not talent
