I absolutely love this approach and headspace. It’s also refreshing. I find it so ironically wild how many people are just aggressively against the idea of using Ai for anything TTRPG related. These are great ideas that I’m definitely going to start using for my future prompts when using ChatGPT for my games.

Using it for NPC speeches and general way of speaking. They sound less me and more as seperate characters that way. And sometimes for a plot twist when I want to suprise myself as well.

I.... use chatgpt to brainstorm homebrew statblocks 😭😭 i see something irl, ask chatgpt if they know what that thing is, then tell it to horrify the thing 10fold and make a cr12 statblock for it 🤣

1:32 I just started using ChapGPT during my Discord play by post game as a player. At first it was dictating the actions of everyone in the group, but as I fed it info and directions, I now have it down to only refer to them during the narrative. I love it. ChatGPT takes what I would have written, and expands on it, making it sounds so much better... I just started using the edit feature last night. I was going though rewriting what I didn't like, but now I can just add better guidance and get a great result.

This is wonderful but not enough info as how exactly to do these things, ie say this to chatgpt, do this to chatgpt (exact info and details) the how is necessary in a turorial. I still do not understand how to do these things with chatgpt.

When you say prime chat GPT, do you just cut and paste your character and campaign documents into the dialog box?

Can someone help me - I tried asking ChatGPT directly, but it was very nervous that I was asking about PII, security, etc. and kept assuring me it is not saving anything, there is no persisted state, etc.

How can I get it to 'remember' things. Like, if I work with it to create an NPC today - I want it three weeks from now to maybe incorporate that NPC if it is appropriate to whatever we are working on then. So, I have it create me a guard NPC named Bob and we work out all the details, etc, etc. Then at a later date I am asking it to come up with some ideas on some plot hooks, I want it to possibly throw out a hook or two that would be appropriate with Bob. Is this just a matter of keeping those tabs in the left hand side saved?
