I know nobody cares or probably will read this, but a few years ago I had a traumatic brain injury, and was in a coma for 7 days. When I came out of the coma my memory was completely wiped out, but I could still read. I looked at my wrist band and I could read my name, but couldn't remember I had a young child, or anything. It was like I had just been born until my sister brought my daughter to the critical care unit and I saw my child and I knew who she was instantly. It took about five years to regain most of my memory. Unfortunately, I still stutter, and my memory is terrible, and I still have no recollection of the week leading up to being in a coma. I was in an abusive relationship at the time, and that's probably how it happened, but to this day I have no answers. God bless everyone!

I had a small stroke one night out of the blue. And I noticed that I felt dizzy and didn't feel quite well I didn't recognize anyone really and yet did it was weird . So I said I'm going to bed. When I woke up, told my wife I think I need to go to the Dr. Because I was having trouble focusing and still didn't know where I was. I started getting better as the day went but it still kind of weird . My Dr said I had a small stroke and had to have a cat scan. And he said this happens and could be dangerous or never happen again. I forgot my friends at work their names and had to learn them over again. But what was funny . I still remembered how to weld and fit. They said it was because it was all muscle memory. I had done for so many years it was just who I was. Apparently this happens all the time to people. I got it all back in just a couple months. But math skills suffered considerably. So I did have to work on that. And names became a problem after that and still is.

Now in the first part, you mentioned he went fishing whe a violent thunderstorm sprang up and his boat was found empty. I wonder if this guy was struck by lightning or perhaps almost drowned, I perhaps that caused such an injury as to give him this extreme case of amnesia. But how did he reestablish his identity as someone else when he ended up back on land?

It was most likely the tumor that was pressing up against his brain, and may be possibly a Trumatic brain injury that caused the amnesia that was so severe that I don’t know.

Perhaps he had memories of a childhood as Fritz because he WAS Fritz in his past life and regained it as a result of his injury. Just an idea but I would’ve checked the historical archives for Fritz, who may have been a resident of the town he was so familiar before his current life

My big question is how he got ID for John Johnson for his first job as his new persona. Having that ID suggests a planned reboot.
