I'm more about the 80/20 system of building wealth: build wealth in such a way so that when you're 80 you can still get 20 year olds. As you can see, the 90/10 doesn't work in such a situation.

10% is for when the market crash and you wanted to buy the dip but doesn't have enough money.
That 10% would doubled if the market crash 50%.

For me it's 80-20.
But you shouldn't hold too much bond or money market since market crash is pretty rare.
Yeah once every 10 years is rare for me.
