Bella, you are such an eloquent speaker and are so in touch with your thoughts and emotions! Also, I feel like we're lowkey the same person omg. As an introvert, it also took me some time to adjust to the college life, especially living with a roommate (and never knowing if they were gonna be in the room or if they were gonna come back soon when I just needed some me time lol). But I would not trade my college experience for the world; it has really helped me grow as a person. It has helped me understand what I need and what I like and has helped me be more comfortable with myself. I'm so sad I only have one semester left...

I also had a hard time with my first year roommate. I was convinced that their parents filled out their questionnaire because nothing matched up. I ended up having to reach out to the head of reslife and lived in an open double for the rest of my first year. I will say that I definitely thought it would be hard to make friends. Back in 2008 when I was a first year, there was not a lot of online communities like Instagram to connect with fellow mohos. I met some of my best friends from orientation and 2nd Saturday and the best part is that we are still friends now. I will note that I dealt with a lot of issues of trying to be more outgoing especially since all I wanted to do with stay in my dorm and watch YouTube. Luckily friends and then joining clubs really helped me. It’s interesting to see similar parallels to the experiences that I had and what you have told us.
