Working a night shift as a hospital housekeeper was one of the best things I did. When I did my work as efficiently as possible I was done in 4 hours. In my off time I spent doing college courses so I made progress towards a degree. If I wound back time I'd do it again. Would recommend/10.

Man, night shift may seem fun at first. But do not get it twisted, it will fuck you up and it doesn't even take that long. I worked nights at Walmart stocking, INSANELY easy job but man I was miserable all the time, and I genuinely wouldn't say it was because of the quality of the job itself or anything like that.

Factory workers when the section manager asks you to stay overtime hours.
Store employees when a customer says an item is for free if it doesn't have a price tag.
Restaurant workers ready to serve, when they see their least favorite customer.
Street cleaners when they literally see someone loitering in front of them.
What company employers really mean when they say "we'd like you to join our family".

Night shifts absolutely suck. You're always tired and fighting the urge to sleep. The only redeeming quality the night shift has is the managers/owners aren't there and depending if you're supervisor is cool, they're just as tired as you are and don't give a fuck. All I ever did was play video games and smoke cigarettes during my shift. My supervisor didn't care as long as the job was done at the end of the night.
