I remember the very short lived team voicechat option in world of warcraft. the amount of ABUSE I had to take because I was a female gamer. "is your tampon too tight or something??" "go make me a F-ing sandwich B with an Itch". As a teenager at the time it took a toll on my mental and I still remember those situations vividly all these years later. We have to remember that a large part of the league community are not fully adult and as such it could have a damaging effect on them. I do understand that for genuine people who want to play competetively its a bummer but its a lose/lose situation. Depends on whats more important to Riot. Competitive scene or protecting your younger audience.

both sides are correct and wrong and the reason is that how people will behave in a voice chat is mostly up to the community itself. With a v.c in the game we will face both the goods and the bads of it. The thing is people most of the time tend to remember the negative experiences more than the good ones. All that aside i believe v.c would do more good than harm to the game since ull prob have the option to disable it if u dont wanna hear any toxicity
